The Center has the technical expertise to guide an organization in answering a very basic question: Is what we are doing impacting our desired results? The Center is committed to the principles of empowerment and participatory evaluation, thus we believe that the best evaluative outcomes occur when an organization’s staff, customers, and other constituents are involved in the evaluation process. Our staff is skillful at helping all people at every level understand the purpose and function of research and evaluation. Research and evaluation are not about telling people what they are doing wrong, but rather supplying the organization with an accurate report of the status of their efforts. With proper use and planning, this information will facilitate making the organization more successful.
The Center’s staff has the knowledge, skill and ability to design successful organizational, systems, and programmatic evaluations. We have conducted successful research and evaluation projects that range from simple, one-dimensional program evaluation to complex systems reform efforts. We
have a proven record of conducting research and evaluation for a variety
of organizations and programs.
"The Center for Community Studies provides a new way of thinking to evaluation.....its possible for all groups, all communities. Although evaluation is sometimes a difficult process to understand, the staff has not only helped Bryan County to understand evaluation, but also how to get our hands dirty!"
